Name That Tune!!!
My sister let me know about this fun little website, or App if you have an iPhone or Ipod touch. It listens to a song and then identifies it in less than 4 seconds. So if you hear a song on a commercial and you really like it, pause your TV, go get your phone and then play it for the app and it will identify it. My husband did this just last night. It really works!! My sister said she has even sung into it and it identified it!! If you have ever heard my sister sing, you would know that this is pretty impressive!!!
Try it out!! It's called SoundHound.

New Years Party Food!!
Here is a dip I found on the website Ourbestbites.com.
It would be perfect for a new years party, I am making it this week!!! Enjoy!
Jalapeno Popper Dip
Recipe adapted from Allrecipes by Our Best Bites
2 8-oz. packages cream cheese (light works great)
1 c. mayonnaise (light also works here, but DON'T use Miracle Whip!)
1 c. Parmesan cheese
1 4-oz. can fire roasted green chilies
1/2-1 4-oz. can diced jalapeno peppers*, drained
1-2 sourdough baguettes, sliced, and/or crackers
*1/2 can is mild with a little bite, a whole can is definitely on the spicy side, but if you've got taste buds of steel, you might prefer a 7-oz. can. 4 ounces definitely pushes the limit.
Preheat oven to 350. In a medium bowl, combine the ingredients and spread into a 9" pie plate or a small baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until dip is bubbly and golden brown.

Another great and short lived TV show.
Okay, this show is so great. It is very funny and sadly did not last long, I have the whole series on DVD and apparently it is worth a lot of money on eBay. But, I am not going to sell it, I love it too much. You should check it out!!! It's called Freaks and Geeks its set in the 80's although it was filmed in the early 2000's. It stars quite of few famous people now, before they were famous. Seth Rogen and James Franco to name a few.

Retro T-shirts.
This next post makes me want to cry. Why? because. A couple of years ago we had our annual Halloween costume party. The theme? 80's. If I would have found this website then, we could of saved ourselves a lot of trouble. They have the exact shirt listed on their site that we had to make ourselves, not to mention another one that a friend wore (and had to make also). Anyways, these shirts are awesome. I really enjoy the movie section. They have a Hoosiers shirt that I might have to buy my husband because it's the only thing that makes him cry (the movie, not shirts). Here they are, enjoy!!!!!

Retro Week - The best TV show that was ever on the air!!!!
Here is my most favorite show in existence. This show is so dear to my heart that if anyone has anything bad to say about it, I will not take it well. It's like a family member. I even wrote a college paper on it and got an A!!! This has the best writing and best acting of any TV show I have seen. If you get a chance, go out and rent the first season, you will not regret it!! With all the crap that is on TV right now, we should go out and search for the quality stuff and not have to suffer with what is on right now!!! So during Christmas break, rent this and watch it!!!!

Stay tuned for next week when I do a whole week of "Things U Should Like" retro, as in things from the past that you Should Have Liked, but never got around to.

Websites that make me feel bad about myself.
There are quite a few blogs and websites that make me want to kill myself. Mostly because the people are so talented and seem to be doing such awesome things and yet they still have time to post about it!!! I guess if I quit watching TV I might have more time, oh well. I am not giving up on my "Biggest Loser" watching.
Also, If you want, please leave me a comment to let me know that you are following this, if not I might just be wasting my time....

Cool T-shirts for the Geek in your life!!
This is a really cool concept. You design a shirt and if this company likes it, they will make your shirt and sell it for one day. You get a certain amount of the proceeds and then they let you take your design and do what you want with it. All of the T-shirts are $9.99. You have to check it everyday!!! Maybe I will come up with a design, some of the designers have made over Ten Thousand Dollars!!!
Here is one that pays tribute to Ghostbusters!!!! Love it!!!
